3 Coaches Join Yovicsin's Staff

Three new assistant coaches, two of them former Boston Patriots, have joined head football coach John Yovicsin's staff this fall.

Serafino D. Fazio and Thomas G. Stephens, both Patriot veterans, have taken up duties as defensive line coach and offensive end coach respectively. Ralph A. Jelic, who played briefly with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Texans, is the Crimson's new linebacking coach.

Fazio, an All-America honorable mention at the University of Pittsburgh in 1960, replaces Jim Lentz, who was named head football coach at Bowdoin last May. Stephens, a five-year offensive end with the Pats, fills in the vacancy left by retiring offensive end coach Steve Novick last year.

Fazio and Jelic both coached at B.U. last year, where Fazio was freshman coach and Jelic was defensive coordinator. Stephens has been offensive backfield and end coach at Curry College for the last two years.
