CAIRO-Dr. Timothy Leary said yesterday he will elude U.S. police by disguising himself and attend a Black Panther rally in New Haven this Tuesday.
Leary, who escaped from a California prison last month where he was serving a 10-15 year sentence for a narcotics violation, talked with reporters before he and his party boarded a plane for Algiers.
The Black Panther rally which Leary plans to attend will demonstrate support for Bobby Seale, Chairman of the Black Panther party, and Ericka Huggins, Seale and Huggins are standing trial for the murder of Alex Rackley.
Leary came to Cairo Tuesday from Beirut, Lebanon, where police refused to let him enter the country. The Egyptians also refused him entry and put him on the first plane for Algiers.
Leary is a former instructor at Harvard who was dismissed after experimenting with LSD.
