The varsity heavyweight crew defeated Penn by a half-length Saturday in the Eastern Sprints at Worcester to avenge a loss to the Quakers last weekend and to highlight a successful Harvard sports weekend.

In New Haven, the track team again won the Heptagonal Title in a meet which Army and Navy chose not to enter because of a political protest statement by the other schools.

The baseball team won all three of its games this weekend. It topped Holy Cross, 10-3, and swept Navy. 6-5 and 5-2.

At the Sprints, all three lightweight crews also won as Harvard again captured both the Rowe and Jope cups for the most points in both the heavy and light races.
