LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Students demanding the abolition of the Committee on Rights and Responsibilities will demonstrate in the Yard at noon today.
The students have asked Dean Dunlop to respond at the demonstration to a petition which 1400 students have signed, demanding that the CRR be abolished and that all students charged or punished under the Resolution on Rights and Responsibilities receive amnesty.
If the demonstrators find Dunlop's statement unsatisfactory, the group may initiate "more militant action" to gain acceptance of its demands. Michael W. Macy '70, an SDS spokesman, said last night.
About 200 students gathered outside Memorial Hall before Tuesday's Faculty meeting to demonstrate their opposition to the CRR. The Faculty approved plans for a new rights committee at that meeting.
