After sweeping Simmons in their first match of the season last Wednesday, the Radcliffe, netters lost 4-1 to an unbeaten Princeton powerhouse on Saturday.

Radcliffe's only victory came late in the afternoon when Penny Morehead and Claire Stuart, pressing an unbeaten net offensive, downed Sally Fields and Podie Lynch 7-5, 6-2.

Jean Evans, one of Radcliffe's two coaches, attributed the team's problems Saturday to the players' fatigue from travelling all morning. "But Princeton had some just awfully good players," she said.

On the weekend of May 7-8. Radcliffe will host a 14-college invitational tournament, including the Seven Sisters schools and women's teams from the co-ed Ivy League schools.
