Harvard dominates the 1975 All-Ivy football squad, as five Crimson players have been named to the first team. Tackle Don Jiggetts, adjuster George Newhouse, quarterback Jim Kubacki, safety and captain-elect Bill Emper and tight end Bob McDermott all earned league honors.
Jiggetts, the captain of this year's championship squad, also earned a spot on the second team of the AP All-American squad. Kubacki, who ranked among the top players in the nation, in total offense last season, was given honorable mention by the Associated Press.
McDermott also received additional post-season recognition, as the New England College Sports Writers Association named him the region's Major College Player of the Year.
Other Ivy gridders honored this week are Dartmouth middle linebacker Reggie Williams, who was selected to the AP All-American second team, and Yale's John Smoot and Gary Fencik, who won AP honorable mentions along with Brown quarterback Bob Bateman.
