In a slight departure from tradition, the women's swim team picked a sophomore star and a junior, who has not been a headline-grabber, as captains for next year.
Maura Costin, a Massachusetts state high school champion who was slowed by a shoulder injury this year, and Claire Goodman, a Mather House resident who specializes in the backstroke, were elected at the team's banquet.

'Freesome Foursome'
The "freesome foursome" of Liz Kelly, Laurie Downey, Jane Fayer and Sherry Lubbers were awarded medals for 13 all-American swims which they recorded at the Nationals.
