JFK Library Seats To Go by Lottery

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The John F. Kennedy Library dedication committee of the University of Massachusettes at Columbia Point will hold a lottery to distribute 600 seats for the opening ceremony October 20.

President Carter, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy '54 (D-Mass.) and more than 5500 invited guests will attend the dedication in Dorchester. Neither former-President Gerald R. Ford nor former-president Richard M. Nixon was invited.

"The occasion is public in nature, so we want as many people as can to attend the opening, not necessarily Kennedy-affiliated people," James Williamson, public information officer for the library, said yesterday. The UMass Dedication office will hold the drawing Monday and and will send two tickets to each winner.
