The Harvard women's varsity sailing team capped a successful 1981 fall slate in fine form this weekend, dunking nine other teams en route to copping the Victorian Coffee Urn at the New England Fall Championship regatta on the Harbor Basin.

The four-woman squad totaled just 109 points, outdistancing its nearest rivals--Boston University and Tufts-by 24 and 30 points, respectively. Captain Rony Sebok skippered the A division crew to a first-place finish, while Meredith Stelling and Liz Miller in the B boat cruised to a third-place finish over the 18-race slate.

Sebok and crew member Dierdre Wilde copped six first-place finishes and seven second-place finishes out of the 18 races to lead the squad, which last won the Urn in 1975.

The weekend's win was the fourth in five regattas for the sailors this fall. "There were all kinds of races, with heavy winds, light winds and medium winds. It was a good regatta," Sebok said.
