Holy Cross 30, Dartmouth 20: At Worcester, the Crusaders--favored by four touchdowns--survived a scare by the winless Big Green and notched a comeback victory to run their record to 4-0.

Holy Cross, ranked third in Division I-AA, escaped from a third-quarter 20-20 tie to leave the visitors with an 0-3 record.

Brown 32, Princeton 30: Behind three touchdowns by fullback Steve Heffernan and two TD passes by quarterback Steve Kettelberger--they combined on one--the Bruins (now 2-1) tallied their first win of the season.

Princeton emerged on the short end of a contest for the first time, but just barely, as QB Doug Butler and Derek Graham teamed for a 51-yd. touchdown and Steve Margoline scored from one yard out. The Tigers drop to 2-1.

Penn 35, Columbia 7: The official doormats of the 1984 Ivy League football season fell victim to the official pre-season favorites as John McGeehan passed for 117 yards at Philadelphia.

The Quakers' record moves to 3-0; the Lions', predictably, to 0-3.

Bucknell 10, Cornell 7: The Big Red joined the ranks of the winless as Bucknell's Rob Masonis ran for a touchdown from the two at Lewisburg, Pa.

Cornell totes an 0-3 record into Cambridge for next week's showdown; Bucknell goes to 3-2.

Yale 41, Morgan State 0: The Elis took their second victory in two seasons with a vengeance, notching their first shutout since the 1981 edition of The Game.

Yale (1-2) kept the still-winless visitors (now 0-5) to 161 yards rushing and 43 passing.
