Quakers Capture Ivy Title

Penn Wins Second Straight League Crown

By Y. TAREK Farouki

Pennsylvania preserved its perfect season when it defeated Princeton in the last contest of the regular season, 2-1 in overtime.

Junior Amy Pine rifled a penalty corner into the Tiger goals and gave the Quakers the game and the Ivy League championship.

Today Pennsylvania meets Syracuse in Syracuse, N.Y., in the first round of this year's NCAA tourney. The winner of that game must face Penn State next. The Quakers lost handily, 5-1, to the Lions when the two teams met during the regular season.

Shumway Honored

Sophomore midfielder Carrie Shumway made the Ivy League's final honor roll this season. The sophomore scored the first goal in Harvard's 4-0 dismantling of Brown last week.

MacFarlane...Again

Amy MacFarlane was named the conference's rookie of the week for the fifth straight week. MacFarlane has won seven of the eight awards given by the league. Wonder who'll be Ivy rookie of the year this season.
