SOUTHERN COMFORT

The members of the Harvard women's basketball team are no strangers to the southern part of the country. Not only are Kelly Black and Allison Feaster native Southerners--the former from Georgia and the latter from South Carolina--but Black and Jessica Gelman first met each other in Chapel Hill.

The two attended a recruiting camp on North Carolina's campus and ended up playing on the same team in recruitment games.

"We bonded the whole week," Black said. "We got along great both on and off the court."

That bonding continues at Harvard, for whom co-captains Gelman and Black will play their final game Friday against the Tar Heels.

"We wanted to play together," Black said. "It's just fate that we're going to go back there and play again.
