FOCUS: OCS and Recruiting

In light of our nation’s worsening economic situation, it is important to examine and evaluate both students’ perspectives on the changing job market and Harvard’s efforts to support students in their endeavors after graduation. This focus examines the traditional emphasis on financial sector jobs for Harvard’s graduating seniors and highlights emerging alternatives, while exploring the meaning of a Harvard education. It highlights the efforts of the Office of Career Services to accommodate students’ changing needs and increasingly diverse career interests. We hope that this focus provides discussion about students’ ambitions and career possiblities.
