More than $17,000 worth of dental equipment was stolen from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Longwood sometime last month. The equipment was discovered stolen on Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m. and has yet to be recovered.
According to HSDM spokesperson Heather M. Denny, the incident occurred at 188 Longwood Avenue, although the report was filed at the adjacent Research and Education Building, on the Dental School’s campus. Denny declined to comment further because the investigation is ongoing.
Steven G. Catalano, spokesperson for the Harvard University Police Department, wrote in an email that “the investigation into the theft of dental equipment is open and ongoing,” and that the department “does not comment on open investigations.”
