A continuous line of boats row down the Charles on this beautiful fall day, with spectators on the banks and on the bridges ready to cheer them on.
For everything from sweatshirts and event t-shirts to hats and key chains, the Official Regatta Merchandise tents have all the crew related items you could ever need.
Crew is a pretty preppy sport, so of course there’s a Brooks Brothers display right outside the boathouse. This is especially helpful for anyone planning on racing in a button-down.
The Head of the Charles Regatta took place this weekend, October 20 – 21, and drew a crowd of a quarter of a million people.
The Regatta includes 55 different events, along a three-mile course, starting at the Boston University Boathouse and ending at Artesani Playground in Watertown.
The changing leaves aren’t the only indication that fall is on the way. Hot apple cider, caramel covered apples, and fried dough are all perfect treats for a cool New England weekend.
Spectators fill the bridges over the Charles, nudging their way in to the coveted railing spots, ready to cheer on their rowers.
Radcliffe crew members Brooke K. Nowakowski '16, Samantha M. Guhan '16, and Jen J. Liu '16 man the bake sale table, with all proceeds going to the Radcliffe Crew team.
