Harvard will distribute a survey to students and employees to assess the performance of the University Police, Daniel Steiner '54, general counsel to the University, said yesterday.

Not Shocked

Steiner said the survey, which students will receive in approximately ten days, is part of an ongoing process of evaluation of University agencies which is designed to test the quality of services they provide.

Among the areas the survey will cover are the interaction between crime victims and the police, community awareness of police services and possible measures to prevent crime.

Several thousand forms will be distributed, Steiner added.
