LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
The Harvard men’s golf team continued its limp home down the backstretch of its fall season yesterday.
A week after finishing 14th at the MacDonald Cup, the Crimson hoped to salvage its fall with an impressive showing at the two-day NEIGA Championships, only to see its trend of poor play continue.
In the first round of the tournament held at the Captains Golf Club in Brewster, Mass., Harvard quickly fell from contention.
After a stellar junior spring, captain Chris Wu’s rocky fall continued with a 77 yesterday. Junior D.J Hynes—who has been the Crimson’s most consistent contributor this fall—also shot a 77. Freshmen Sam Lissner and Andrew Livingston recorded scores of 79 and 81, respectively, while senior Matt Amis finished with an 80.
Harvard will look to move up the leader board and create some positive momentum in the second and final round of the tournament today.
