Test Pattern
A striped pattern appears on one of the television screens placed throughout Tercentenary Theatre on Monday as technicians test the system that will be used during Commencement week’s exercises.
Workers continued setting up chairs for commencement on Tuesday, extending the seating up to the lawn above the yard next to Houghton Library.

The cars of visiting families and friends filled the fields behind St. John’s Seminary in Brighton on Monday during Boston College’s 136th Commencement.
Thousands of chairs are set up in Tercentenary Theater in preparation for Thursday's commencement exercises. Diplomas will be distributed during morning exercises, followed by an afternoon featuring Harvard alumnus and journalist Fareed Zakaria, this year's Commencement day speaker.
Quincy and Lowell courtyards sport red and blue striped tents to keep the rain from disrupting reunion activities. Alumni returning to Harvard for their fiftieth reunion will have a chance to reconnect with their classmates under this red- and white- striped tent in Quincy courtyard. Lowell courtyard sports a blue- and white- tent, presumably to match its house colors.
