Women's Golf Takes Third, Preps For Ivy Championships

In its final test before the Ivy League Championships, the Harvard women’s golf team placed third out of 14 northeastern colleges at the two-day Brown BEAR Invitational in Barrington, R.I., Monday.


Softball Puts it Together to Top Yale Twice

The Harvard softball team (16-17, 8-4) has struggled to find consistency throughout the season, splitting many doubleheaders. This Saturday, however, it all came together in dominating Yale (8-26, 3-9) in consecutive games, defeating it, 7-4, in the first game and 4-2 in the second.


Men's Tennis Remains Unbeaten in Conference

The Harvard men’s tennis team put its nine-match winning streak on the line this weekend when it went on the road to face Ivy League foes No. 50 Princeton and Penn. By Sunday evening, the No. 19 Crimson (16-4, 4-0 Ivy) had extended its streak to 11 matches and improved its record in conference play to 4-0.


Saathoff Goes Yard but Crimson Drops Game Two

The Crimson (8-24, 5-7 Ivy) took the 6-2 victory in the first game Sunday afternoon largely thanks to a three-run homer by sophomore Nick Saathoff in the bottom of the fourth. But in the following contest, the Bulldogs (8-21, 5-7) took an early lead thanks to a shaky Harvard defensive start and beat the home team for the second time this weekend, 5-2.


Women's Tennis Ivy Title Hopes Hindered with Loss at Princeton

After losing a close, 4-3, decision to Princeton (11-6, 2-2 Ivy) on Saturday, the Harvard women’s tennis team (10-6, 2-2) rebounded with a dramatic 4-3 win over Penn (10-6, 2-2) on Sunday that went down to a final third-set tiebreaker.


Women's Heavyweight Crew Defeats Princeton, Cornell

After ceding the Class of 1975 Cup to Princeton for the last five years, the Radcliffe heavyweight first varsity eight boat was ready for a change. On Saturday morning, the Black and White’s top boat outpaced the Tigers on Cayuga Inlet in Ithaca, N.Y. to take back the Class of 1975 Cup for the first time since 2007.


Softball Wins Two on Walk-off Hits

On senior day at Soldiers Field, the Crimson (16-7, 8-4 Ivy) won both games on walk-off hits—the first called after the 5th because of the mercy rule—beating Yale (8-26, 3-9), 12-3 and 5-3.


Men's Golf Finishes Middle of the Pack at Princeton Invitational

After opening with a fifth-place start, the Harvard men’s golf team was unable to improve on its first round and finished sixth out of 14 teams with 885 total strokes at the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Course this weekend.

Men's Crew Continues Spring Season Winning Streak

It proved to be a successful weekend for the Harvard men’s heavyweight and lightweight crews, who each toppled opponents to extend undefeated spring season records. The No. 4 heavyweights defeated No. 3 Brown on Saturday at home on the Charles River, taking three of five races on the morning. The No. 1 lightweights displayed their dominance by sweeping all four races against Dartmouth and MIT.


Men's Lacrosse Breaks Through Against Penn

Sophomore midfielder Murphy Vandervelde raised his arms in the air as his teammates mobbed him,celebrating their first win over a ranked opponent this season. With the game down to a single shot and a playoff berth on the line, the Harvard men’s lacrosse team had turned to its newest sharpshooter. Vandervelde delivered.

The Harvard men’s volleyball team struggled initially on Friday night, playing conference foe New Jersey Institute of Technology into five games. But the squad suddenly turned it on at the very end of the contest, seizing a victory, 3-2, amidst come-backs from deficits in both the overall match and individual games.
