One neighborhood group puts on a performance as part of "Marchas Populares". These performances are competitions between the different neighborhoods in Lisbon, and neighborhood teams sometimes prepare for this event months in advance.

Partyers hit the streets of Lisbon from nightfall until dawn, taking advantage of the plethora of bars that relocate to the street and sell cheap drinks to all. Popular choices include beer, Sangria, and "Ginja", a Portuguese liquor produced from sour cherries.
