Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy III visits Faneuil Hall to hear Mayor Thomas M. Menino give the State of the City. Kennedy was elected to Congress from Barney Frank ’61-’62’s Fourth District this past November when he defeated Sean Bielat by a nearly 20 percent margin.
State of the City
Thomas M. Menino, the mayor of Boston, announces a new partnership between Harvard, MIT, and Boston at his State of the City address. He siad that the edX initiative will enable Boston community centers to become campuses themselves.
Science Center Construction

Professor Brain
Professor Joseph Brain is teaching his SLS-17 The Human Organism class at the Science Center. Prof. Brain has offered the class for 40 of the past 41 years.
