Bacow Confers 1,554 College Degrees at 368th Commencement

Bacow awarded 6,665 degrees to students across the University — including College seniors, students from Harvard’s graduate schools, and students from the Extension School — in Tercentenary Theatre Thursday.


Corporation Supports Decisions to Not Renew Sullivan, Sanction Dominguez

Harvard Corporation Senior Fellow William F. Lee ’72 said the Corporation was briefed on and supports Harvard administrators’ recent decisions to relieve Ronald S. Sullivan, Jr. of his Winthrop House faculty deanship and to sanction former professor Jorge I. Dominguez.


Harvard Protestors Deliver TPS Petition to Bacow

Harvard Students 4 TPS called on University President Lawrence S. Bacow to meet the demands of Comité TPS, a local advocacy group. Demonstrators delivered a petition with nearly 600 signatures to President Bacow’s office, although he was not there to receive it in person.

Harvard to Pilot Anonymous Title IX Reporting System

Advocates of anonymous reporting — including the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, which spearheaded a sexual misconduct climate collaborative in which Harvard is involved — say that anonymity helps to support victims.


Dean Khurana on Winthrop

Rakesh Khurana remained largely silent on the Winthrop House climate review and a lawsuit brought by Winthrop tutors Carl L. Miller and Valencia Miller against Eliot House Faculty Dean Gail A. O'Keefe during an interview Tuesday.


Bacow Says Harvard Prison-Related Investments Amount to $18,000

HPDC members and Divinity School students Megan B. Lee and Joseph M. Pinto met with Bacow during his official office hours last week. In addition to divulging Harvard’s $18,000 investments, Bacow also said the University does not have direct holdings in businesses that operate private prisons, per the release.


Deputy General Counsel Diane Lopez Named Next Harvard VP and General Counsel

Lopez will take over June 1 as current Senior Vice President and General Counsel Robert W. Iuliano ’83 departs for Gettysburg College to serve as the school’s next president. Lopez first came to Harvard in 1994 as a University attorney in the Office of General Counsel.
