Playoffs Kick Off Against Tigers
The Harvard women’s hockey team heads into the opening round of ECAC playoffs this weekend as the third seed. The No. 4 Crimson (18-6-5, 12-6-2 ECAC) will host sixth-seeded Princeton (13-12-4, 11-7-4) in a best-of-three quarterfinal series at Bright Hockey Center, playing its first match tonight at 7 p.m. on coveted home ice.
Championship Run Begins For Crimson
Because of its strong performance, Harvard enters the CSA National Team Championships seeded No. 1. This weekend, the Crimson and seven other elite teams—Trinity, Penn, Princeton, Yale, Cornell, Stanford, and Williams—will be playing for the Howe Cup at Yale’s Brady Squash Center.

Captain Alex Biega, here shown in earlier action, hopes to take down Cornell tonight and Colgate tomorrow night. The Crimson sits at eigth place in the conference—the last spot that earns a home game in the ECAC playoffs—so this weekend’s games are critical.
Hockey Faces Rival Cornell
The Harvard men’s hockey team (7-15-3, 7-8-3 ECAC) looks to build some momentum going into the final stretch of the season as it takes on perennial rival Cornell (15-7-3, 12-4-2 ECAC) at 7 p.m. tonight at the Bright Hockey Center.

Freshman Jillian Dempsey, here shown in earlier action, and Harvard’s other forwards will be instrumental in determining Harvard’s seed in the ECAC playoffs. It could finish as high as first or as low as seventh.
Playoff Postioning Hangs in Balance
This weekend’s contests mark the end of the regular season and the longest road trip thus far for the No. 5 Harvard (17-6-4, 12-6-2 ECAC) women’s hockey team. The Crimson plays St. Lawrence (14-11-7, 10-7-3) tonight and No. 6 Clarkson (20-8-4, 14-4-2) tomorrow.
Road to Team Title Starts With Old Foe
Tomorrow afternoon at Yale’s Payne Whitney Gymnasium, the Crimson will have a chance at retribution for its recent loss, as it faces off in a rematch against the Tigers in the quarterfinals of the College Squash Association National Team Championships.

HYP-HOP
The Crimson track and field team will face Yale and Princeton tomorrow at the HYP Meet. Last weekend, the Harvard men and women captured the overall victory at the Battle of Beantown. At that meet, co-captain Jack Brady took first place in the shot put and freshman Carlyle Davis won the 500-meter run. The women’s team also finished first in the 4x400 relay.
Struggling Crimson Look to Rebound
The Harvard men’s hockey team, coming off a fourth-place finish in the 58th Annual Beanpot Tournament, looks to rebound in home games against Rensselaer tonight and against No.16 Union tomorrow night.
