Harvard Promotes Shopping in Square

Despite the busier weeks leading up to winter break this year due to the new academic calendar, administrators are encouraging students and faculty to shop in Harvard Square for their holiday needs as part of an effort to support local businesses through a tough economy and to meet the University’s sustainability goals.

If there is such a thing as a classy way to rob a bank, we may be able to learn a little something from the man who ran out of the Harvard University Credit Union with an envelope full of cash Tuesday morning. Minutes earlier, the man, allegedly marched into the bank only minutes before, seemingly unarmed, and presented the teller with a letter demanding cash. Yep, that's right. A letter. New England's famed autumn has arrived in Cambridge and has brought with it shorter days, cooler weather, and beautiful fall foliage.


As the leaves change color other things stay the same. For example, most of Harvard's streets are still frustrate drivers with their "Parking By Permit Only" signs.
