Activists Honored by Caroline Kennedy ’80

Caroline B. Kennedy ’80 presented the Sixth Annual New Frontier Award—created in memory of her father John F. Kennedy ’40—to a congressman and a social entrepreneur at the IOP last night.


Heroes and leaders from across the country, such as Chief Mate Shane Murphy of Alabama, joined the floats and marching bands as they traveled down Main Street.


Different divisions of the parade represented different periods in American history. The Middlesex County Volunteers sported the uniforms of New England troops during the Revolutionary War.


Main Street was packed with spectators both from Plymouth and across the country. These two girls took a creative measure to watch the parade from above the crowd.

It’s not like it’s that much more of a schlep once you’ve already manned up and gone all the way down to New Haven. There won't be any alcohol, but don't lie—you'll probably be drunk already anyway.
