Dining and Dancing at Diversitas
It's not every day a student can listen to music from Korea, feast on delights from India, and enjoy traditional dance from Mexico. But this Friday, students can enjoy a variety of food, fun, and festivities at Diversitas, a cultural celebration put on by the UC and the Harvard Foundation from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday in Tercentenary Theater.
The Aftermath
After Harvard’s 375th anniversary, Tercentenary Theatre is reduced to a mud field. While deconstruction begins around the yard, normal activity such as the Hahvahd Tours continue.
Patching Up The Yard
Anyone who has walked through the Yard lately may have noticed that Tercentenary Theatre is still recovering from a rough weekend of partying. The combination of rain and thousands of wandering feet at last Friday's 375th Anniversary Celebration have left the grass (much of which has been replaced by dirt and mud) looking less than spectacular. Fortunately, Facilities Maintenance Operations has plans in the works to restore the Yard to its former grandeur.
Unexpected Sculptures Around Campus
Sculptures resembling uncommon or everyday objects sprinkle the campus' exterior landscaping, adding at least a little randomness if not subliminal messaging to the University.
In the Yard, the Trees Are Talking
The Lorax can speak for the trees. Well, at Harvard, the trees can now speak for themselves.
Harvard Tours: A Reality Check
Some of the information on those tours is highly embellished or just plain incorrect.
