Phi Beta Kappa Literary Exercises took place in the Sanders Theater, in celebration of the liberal arts and sciences. This has been a traditional part of the Commencement since the eighteenth century.

Quincy and Lowell courtyards sport red and blue striped tents to keep the rain from disrupting reunion activities. Alumni returning to Harvard for their fiftieth reunion will have a chance to reconnect with their classmates under this red- and white- striped tent in Quincy courtyard. Lowell courtyard sports a blue- and white- tent, presumably to match its house colors.
