The current Registrar’s Office on Garden St. is located about a quarter of a mile away from the Smith Campus Center.
Administrators hope a new course catalog tool will spur students to reflect on their educational goals when searching for courses, even as some professors worry that more targeted search tools will limit exploration.
A team of Harvard IT staff tasked by the Registrar’s Office to develop the Student Information System, a new online platform for course planning and registration slated to launch for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the fall of 2015, has been meeting with students and faculty members to explain its vision for the system and gain feedback from future users.
Students and alumni will now be able to order and send their official transcripts electronically through a new online delivery service launched Monday.
In order to fulfill their concentration requirements, many students must miss either an entire practice per week or portions of practice throughout the week.
Discrepancies also arose between the websites of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Registrar, causing double-bookings and overcrowding.
