Plants and Flowers: Dorm-Suitable Flora

Every year, the Phillip Brooks House Association holds a plant sale outside of Mower through the month of September. Alongside this annual sale, there are a number of florist shops in the area selling plants and flowers year round. With these options at hand, students seeking to add a bit of green, leafy life to their dorms need not look any farther than the Square.


Free Berryline Tonight

To celebrate their birthday, Berryline on Arrow Street in Harvard Square is giving out free frozen yogurt today. Head on over between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. for a complimentary small, one-topping frozen yogurt to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Arrow Street store.


Paul Lee, manager of the Hong Kong Restaurant, is petitioning the Cambridge License Commission to extend his restaurant’s closing time to 3 a.m. seven days a week. He will appear in front of the board on Tuesday.

To celebrate the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2"—the final installment of the Harry Potter movie series based on the popular book series by J.K. Rowling—the Harvard Square Business Association is throwing "The Best Harry Potter Party EVER, Part 2: Smackdown in Hogwart Square."


Fourth of July Weekend Music in Cambridge

This Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m., the St. George's School for Girls performed in Winthrop Square Park outside Peet's Coffee & Tea. Their performance included a choir, saxophones, brass, and jazz musicians. The all-girls boarding school from Edinburgh, Scotland is touring Massachusetts; their first stop was in Cambridge.
