Depression as Disability

Panelists Dr. Lawrence Ian Reed (Psychology), Rue Wilson (Associate Chief of Mental Health Services at UHS), Dr. Christine Looser (HBS), and Sam Peinado (SMHL) take part in the Depression as Disability Panel as part of Disability Pride Week. In this panel, which took place at the Gutman Library Conference Center on Wednesday evening, the Harvard College Disability Alliance, International Higher Education and Disability, and Student Mental Health Liaisons discussed depression as a disability and how to raise awareness of invisible disabilities.

Montage Concert

The Harvard University Band, Harvard Wind Ensemble, and Harvard Jazz Band perform at the Montage Concert at Sanders Theatre on Saturday. This concert included a variety of performances from each group, including a premiere performance of The Katzenjammer Prelude, by Jim Stephenson, in memory of the late Band and Wind Ensemble member, Janet Katz '77.

The Harvard Ballroom Dance Team presents TEMPO: Dancing Through the Decades at Lowell Lecture Hall. This performance, also featuring Expressions Dance Company and the Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble, had a wide range of dynamic duets and dances ranging from the Jive, Cha-Cha, and Hustle to the Samba, Salsa, and Waltz.

The Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club presents Yellow Moon, an intimate and creative performance about life and love, directed by Susanna Wolk and produced by Jared Sleisenger. Featured in this picture are actors Juliana Sass, Eli Wilson Pelton, Brenna McDuffie, and Justin Pereira as they perform in the Loeb Experimental Theater.

Indigenous People's Day

Students and performers serve themselves traditional cultural food at an Indigenous People's Day event sponsored by Native Americans at Harvard College (NAHC), HOLA, RAZA, Fuerza, and Ballet Folklorico. This event also included performances by Ballet Folklorico, Urban Thunder (Native American Drum Group) and spoken word pieces with the aim of celebrating the strength of the Indigenous People affected by colonialism in the Americas.

The women’s rugby team played its first-ever varsity contest last night against Quinnipiac. Despite a rowdy crowd that attended the inaugural match, the Crimson fell to the Bobcats, 39-10. Captain Xanni Brown and junior winger Anibiet Abasi chipped in Harvard’s pair of scores.
