Sex Week Event Explores Religion and Sexuality
As part of the second annual Sex Week, two Harvard chaplains led a discussion on Wednesday about how religious backgrounds affect individuals’ perspectives on sex and sexuality.

Three of the panelists at the Sex Week Event "Faith, Sex, & Love: Bring It On!" in the Phillips Brooks House Parlor (10/24). A diverse mixture of Harvard chaplains and students met to discuss love and sex, and learn about other points of view. After the brief panel, students divided into small groups to discuss questions regarding ethics, faith, common sense, upbringing, and other related topics.

Dr. Leah Garrett, professor at Monash University, discusses her research on Jewish American war novels of the 40's, particularly the groundbreaking presentations of Jewish American soldiers struggling with antisemitism, masculinity, and identity within their platoons. Garrett's lecture was sponsored by Harvard's Mahindra Humanities Center.

Sing-a-long Brunch Honors Former Director of Hillel
A brunch at Hillel on Sunday honored the center's former director, Rabbi Ben-Zion, with a sing-a-long to his new CD.
Rabbi Ben-Zion Gold
Kadimah Michelson, a member of the Harvard Hillel Study and Worship community, congratulated Rabbi Ben-Zion Gold after his CD release Sunday. Gold, a Holocaust survivor, published author, and former director of Harvard Hillel, worked with his associate Jane Myers, a former Radcliffe student, to release a collection of Polish melodies he still remembers from childhood. Current Hillel director and Rabbi, Jonah Steinberg, says the event inspires "a tremendous sense of legacy."
