Ten members of the Spartacus Youth League, a Trotskyist organization, yesterday picketed Austin Hall at the Law School in protest of the announced speaking appearance of an FBI agent.
Richard Krant, an agent of the FBI's Boston office, arrived by the back door of the hall at 3 p.m. to speak to a group of law students.
"We want to make a political point," Craig M. Travis, a spokesman for the Spartacus League said yesterday. Representatives of such organizations as the FBI "should not be brought on campus without response from students," he said.
On hearing of the protest during his talk, Krant--who did not notice the demonstration when he entered--said, "I was invited, I'm here, and I am going to stay."
Krant led a discussion focusing on practical information about law and career possibilities for law students.
