A Brighton teenager died after a commuter train hit him Monday at the Central Square MBTA station, Cambridge police said.

Kip T. Perry, 17, reportedly died at the scene from severe hemmorhaging.

Witnesses told police that Perry slipped off the platform and could not jump back up before the train arrived.

Cambridge firefighters used hags filled with compressed air to lift the train off the victim.

Other incidents reported by Harvard University and Cambridge Police during the week from Feb. 17 to 23 included.

Weapons, Driving Arrest: A Topsfield man was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous weapon and driving under the influence of alcohol Monday night, police said.

Cambridge Police said they stopped Richard Alexander as he drove in the wrong direction on Mass. Ave in Harvard Square Police said they found a set of brass knuckles with a blade attached in the car Officers alleged that Alexander had glassy eyes and spoke with slurred speech.

Shoplifting Arrests: Police said they arrested Mathew MeCarthy of Eynn and James Rogers of Allston for allegedly taking $14 in goods from Brigham's in Harvard Square Monday.

Thefts: A portable radio/cassette layer valued at $105 was reported stolen from a room in Canaday Hall sometime between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim told police he left the room unlocked during the day.

A victim told police that a hag containing clothing, keys and shoes--a total of $150 in property--disappeared from the track area at the ITT last Friday while he was jogging.

A Sony dictating machine valued at $359 was reported taken from a Holyoke Center office between Feb 8 and Feb 22.

Harvard Police received eight reports of thefts of more than $100 and eight of less than $100 during the week ending Thursday.

University police also warned 15 peoples off Harvard property and arrested Arthur P. Spencer, 36, of Everett for allegedly tresspassing in the basement of the Science Center.
