Food Sets Off Alarm in Currier

By Elliott W. Balch, Crimson Staff Writer

Seven Cambridge Fire Department trucks were dispatched at 11:04 p.m. Monday night to fight a fire in Currier House.

The alarm was triggered by smoke from burned food in a student kitchen in Tuchman Hall.

No smoke damage and no injuries were reported from the fire, according to Currier House staff. Custodians cleaned the room yesterday.

Students living in Tuchman were evacuated and allowed to return to the building at 11:36 pm., said a firefighter with the Cambridge Fire Department.
