Logan Ip Selected by Boston Cannons 18th Overall in PLL Draft
Harvard captain Logan Ip was selected 18th overall by the Boston Cannons in the 2026 PLL Draft, becoming the ninth player in program history drafted to play professional lacrosse, and the second to the PLL.
The midfielder had a breakout junior season, earning First-Team All-Ivy League honors in 2025 during the Crimson’s run to the NCAA Tournament. The Newport Coast, Calif., native scored five crucial goals in an 11-10 victory over Brown, notching a career high.
The team’s 2026 campaign has been an even stronger season for Ip, beginning when he was named to the Tewaaraton Award Preseason Watchlist. Ip earned First-Team Midseason All-American honors in a season that has included a career-high six points against Dartmouth, for which he was named the Ivy League’s Offensive Player of the Week.
Ip’s time in Cambridge has been some of the best years in program history. The Crimson reached the Ivy League Tournament his junior year for the first time since 2014, and began 2026 with an 8-0 record, the second-best start in school history.
The team’s successful opening streak was punctuated by the program’s first-ever victory over a No. 1 team, when Harvard defeated Syracuse, 13-12.
Earlier this season, Ip reached 100 career points during the Crimson’s 14-11 victory over then-No. 20 Boston University.
The two-year captain became only the second Harvard player ever drafted to the PLL, following Sam King ’25, who was selected 18th overall in 2025 by the Utah Archers.
