Emmanuel T. Edwards ’27 and Nigel C. Savage ’27 will serve as first and second marshal, respectively, for the Class of 2027, the pair confirmed Friday morning.

Edwards and Savage, a former Crimson Business executive, will lead the Senior Class Committee, which is responsible for organizing class-wide activities events during senior year and programming surrounding Commencement. After graduating, the committee continues to organize reunions and other alumni activities.

The pair were selected after two rounds of voting open to members of the Class of 2027. Under the Class Committee election system, the highest vote-getter becomes first marshal and the runner-up becomes second marshal. The next six finishers are named program marshals.

“The idea of representing the Class of 2027 is just super special to me, and I’m super excited to be a part of the process of making our relationships and making our connections last throughout the years,” Edwards said in an interview.

Savage said that he was “super excited” and that he and Edwards were “really close friends.”

“I think this senior year is gonna be really, really, really fun,” he said.
