Double Tree Housekeepers Strike, Rally Attracts Thousands

Outside the Science Center on Thursday, November 20, Double Tree housekeepers, student advocates, and union representatives protested working conditions at the hotel, which is operated by Hilton but located in a Harvard-owned building. Hundreds attended the protest, which was organized by the Harvard Student Labor Action Movement and UNITE HERE! Local 26, the labor union that represents Harvard's dining hall workers.


The Fact Finder

Health care policy economist David M. Cutler '87, pictured in a Crimson file photo, will serve as a fact finder during the University and the Harvard Union of Clerical and Technical Workers' healthcare negotiations.


Summers Out

As of Sunday afternoon, former Harvard President Larry Summers has officially withdrawn his name from consideration to be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Summers was the predecessor to Faust.
