Women’s Swim and Dive Concludes Season at NCAA Championships
Whilst their classmates travelled to tropical destinations over spring break, some members of the women’s swim and dive team travelled down to Atlanta, Ga., for the National Championship meet to compete against the nation’s fastest in the pool. Harvard sent three seniors, Sydney Lu, Anya Mostek, and diver Nina Janmyr, and junior Alexandra Bastone.

Last week marked the pinnacle of the season for the women’s swim and dive team as it headed to the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center at Brown University to compete in the four-day Ivy League Championship Meet. During the meet, Harvard placed third, falling just behind Princeton and Penn.

Harvard Women’s Swim and Dive Beats Yale, Loses to Princeton
The Crimson beat Yale 207-93 and fell to Princeton 139.5-160.5. The stands at Blodgett Pool were packed over the course of the two-day men’s and women’s dual meet, with cheers ringing throughout the pool up through the last relay. For some athletes, this was their final meet, as the team can only take around 20 people to compete at Ivies.

Senior Nina Janmyr placed first in the three-meter diving and second in the one-meter event. Sophomore Samantha Holtz also made the podium in three-meter diving, placing third.

Men’s Swim and Dive Dominates Yale, Falls to Princeton
Harvard prevailed over the Bulldogs with a score of 181-172, but failed to overcome the Tigers, falling 159-193 at the Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet. The meet served as the team’s last opportunity to race at Blodgett Pool, and also its last regular-season performance before the Ivy League Championship meet later this month.
