Harvard Softball Dominates Doubleheader to Win Penn Series
Returning home to Soldier’s Field after two weeks on the road, Harvard softball extended its series win streak with a statement victory over Penn. The Crimson came out strong, with captain Riley Flynn pitching the team to two wins on Saturday, while junior shortstop Sophie Sun opened the weekend with her eighth homer of the season. Although Harvard almost went undefeated, the team fell just short of rallying for a walk-off victory, losing 9-8 on Sunday to go 2-1 across the series.
Harvard Softball Bounces Back to Win Brown Series
Despite struggling to round the bases and falling to the Bears 4-0 in its first matchup of the weekend, the Harvard softball team quickly found its form in the remainder of the series. The Crimson immediately got its bats active, logging two runs in the opening inning of game two to take home a 5-1 win. Harvard continued to build across the weekend, starting strong again in the third game to secure a 10-2 victory and take home a series win.
Harvard Softball Sweeps Cornell On the Road
Following a weekend of mixed results against Dartmouth, Harvard softball travelled to Ithaca, N.Y., to face off against Cornell in its third weekend of Ivy League play. While the Big Red took an early lead going into the first game, the Crimson rallied in the seventh inning to take home the win. Harvard only improved across the weekend, taking a second victory on Friday before closing out the series on Saturday with a dominant 15-6 victory in five innings.
Harvard Softball Goes 1-2 in Tight Series Against Dartmouth
Following a weekend of mixed results against Yale, the Crimson returned home to Soldiers Field to face off against Dartmouth. Competition was tight across the whole weekend, with neither team losing by more than one run, and two games across the series going into extra innings. While the Big Green took the upper hand in the first two games, winning 3-2 and 12-11, it was senior infielder Finley Payne who secured Harvard’s walk-off 13-12 win with a home run to center field in the third game.

The Crimson couldn’t seem to keep up with the Black Knights, falling 5-1 and 14-4. However, competition was closer against the Red Storm, as Harvard only lost 3-2 in the first matchup and 7-4 in its second.
