Prof Failed To Disclose Connection to Company in Paper

Kennedy School of Government professor Calestous Juma did not disclose his connection to biotechnology giant Monsanto in a December 2014 paper supporting genetically modified organisms.


Report Details Alleged COI in Mass. Universities

The report, which sampled the 20 wealthiest colleges and universities in Massachusetts, named four “worst offenders,” including Harvard University, Boston University, Tufts University, and Williams College for providing “substantially problematic responses that raise major questions in both state and federal filings for 2009 and 2010.”


Harvard COI Policies Being Revised

Harvard schools must draft their policies and have them approved by the late August 2012 federal deadline, according to Mark Barnes, a senior associate provost and co-chair of the University Standing Committee on Financial Conflicts of Interest.


FAS To Revise COI Policies

A new set of regulations that will govern faculty members’ off-campus commitments will be introduced by the end of this academic year.
