Flyby Housing Market 2026
Flyby’s Official 2026 Housing Day Video Ranking
We came, we saw, and we most definitely conquered last Friday. From giddy freshmen (or tearful ones if they saw you, Cabot...) to screaming upperclassmen, it's safe to say that there was not an excess of hype or school spirit that fateful morning. The same goes for the stellar suite of Housing Day 2026 videos. Every house, from the River to the Quad, showed up and brought their big D(hall) energy. Read our completely biased and accurate ranking here!
River Run Overheards
Wakey wakey, eggs and bakeyyyy! It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new (house) life for you. We know that no one needs a reminder of what happened (yes, even you upperclassmen), but we’re kindly here to provide one anyway. These are the memories you’ll want to look back on later tonight when you are a little less….enlightened!
Currier House
Home to famous former residents like Bill Gates, Yo-Yo Ma ’76, and Neil deGrasse Tyson ’80, perhaps you too will someday come back to Harvard for the ultimate honor of being featured in Currier’s Housing Day video. Icons all around in Currier, and who knows, you could be the next one, too…
Harvard Houses as Greek Gods
Happy Housing Day eve! As you anxiously await the envelopes that will determine where you’ll spend the next three years of your life (no pressure), Flyby has done some very serious academic research to answer the burning question we know you must have: if the Greek gods relocated to Harvard, which house would they call home?
Pforzheimer House
Pforzheimer House, located just 968 John Harvards from campus in the beautiful Radcliffe Quadrangle, is a House that few can pronounce and even fewer can locate. But not so pfast — with its stunning Bell Tower views, strong-rooted Quad community, and unbeatable House pride, Pforzheimer is possibly one of Harvard’s most underrated Houses. In pfact, after hearing about all that Pforzheimer has to offer, you’re likely to get a tad of #PFOMO. Keep reading to pfind out more!
Cabot House
Welcome to Cabot House, the Quad’s pride and joy! Not to be confused with the brand of yogurt or the Science Center library, Cabot House is a place you are sure to fall in love with.
Mather House
Welcome! Come one, come all! Anyone and everyone is welcome at the best house on campus…Mather! Where the singles keep everyone merry and bright, as does the natural light. You’ll find plants to your heart’s desires, artistic creations that make even Picasso jealous, and a fun, loving community that is filled with Mather Pride. Why drag on the exterior when we all know that it’s what’s on the inside that counts!
Leverett House
The word “leveret” means young hare, which should have warned me how many bunny and rabbit puns I would hear during my tour of Leverett House. If you are deemed a “rising rabbit,” prepare to immediately be embraced into the Lev family, which once included the likes of Colin Jost ’04, Pete Buttigieg ’04 (Jost’s roommate, funnily enough), Jeremy Lin ’10 for any basketball fans, and Steven Levitt ’89 for you “Freakonomists.” An enviable family tree.
Dunster House
Welcome to the one and only Dunster House! A beautiful house that was home to Alan M. Garber ’76, Al Gore ’69, and Al S. Franken ’73. So, every Al in the book.
Kirkland House
In the heart of River West lies Kirkland House, a “small town” community with charm and delight packed into every one of its cozy corners. In fact, if you ask Kirk residents what defines the House and its quirks kuirks, community is the very first word that comes to mind.
Flyby Tries: Manifesting Our Dream House
Calling all first-years! Are you shaking in your boots just thinking about Housing Day THIS Friday? Here are a few tips on how to manifest your dream house!
Winthrop House
Welcome to Winthrop House, home of regal charm, roaring house pride, and splendid courtyards. Between the Charles River views, spacious suites, singles galore, and biweekly Steins that keep the community thriving, Winthrop feels both lively and luxurious. Throw in legendary alumni, including John F. Kennedy ’40 and J. Robert Oppenheimer ’25, and a victorious intramural record befitting only the kings of the jungle, it’s no wonder Winthropians take pride in calling this place home.
Eliot House
That’s actually not an elephant. It is a mastodon! Heard that right! Even when it comes down to their mascot, Eliotites never fail to keep it classy. After all, Eliot is the Ravenclaw of Harvard’s Hogwarts Houses.
