Harvard students, alumni, and staff battled wind and intermittent rain to complete the 123rd running of the Boston Marathon on Monday.
The petition proposes a number of sites between Lincoln Street, which abuts the Massachusetts Turnpike, and the Charles River. This area includes Harvard Business School and the University's athletics complexes.
Business School dean Nitin Nohria will chair a governing board that will manage the new land company.
In light of the fall 2020 opening of the new School of Engineering and Applied Sciences complex in Allston, Harvard has been ramping up its involvement in the local area.
The changes will include the installation of an elevator that accesses each floor of the building as well as the addition of new restrooms and renovation of existing ones.
Thirty-one of the 67 events included in this year’s iteration of Advising Fortnight—an annual program—focused on concentrations that fall under the arts and humanities umbrella.
At the event, titled "Toxic Tales, Body Burdens, and Climatic Conundrums," speakers ranging from professors to current students spoke about issues like climate change, ecotourism, and race relations.
