Goal-ward Bound

Lara Schenk, a key contributor to the 2021 Crimson squad, steps into a strike during the 2019 campaign, the end of which was the last time on the field for Harvard before last Friday.


Celly Time

Schenk and teammates celebrate seconds after a goal by then-first-year Gabby DelPico (#21) in the 71st minute against Penn on Sept. 28, 2019. The strike would end up putting Harvard on top 1-0 in its first Ivy League conference game of the season.


Slugger

Jake Suddleson '20 takes an at-bat in a 2019 matchup with the Yale Bulldogs. In the 2019 campaign, Suddleson's junior season, the now-member of the Oakland Athletics organization put together a 0.372 batting average with 11 home runs.


Kicking Bass

Senior guard Justin Bassey skies to the hoop in a late-February Ivy League tilt. In his senior season, the Denver native started all 29 games, averaging 28.2 minutes per contest, before the season ended with the cancellation of the Ivy League Tournament.


Cause for Celebration

Harvard celebrates its decisive goal in a 1-0 win over Penn last season. The Crimson program will look to do more celebrating as it returns most of its 2019 core and will get a boost from a program-best recruiting class.

While many winter sports had their seasons abruptly cut short in early March due to the evacuation of campus and NCAA cancellations in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak, the 2019-2020 winter athletic season was nonetheless a source of energetic competition for Harvard Athletics.
