The Crimson finished with the highest number of victories and lowest number of defeats in program history, bested rival Princeton for a third time in the semifinal, and advanced to its first championship game, where the team ultimately fell to No. 7 Michigan.

This past weekend, Harvard women’s water polo competed in an exciting double header against a pair of conference opponents on Saturday, with a narrow two-point loss to No. 7 Michigan, 12-10, and an equally hard-fought two-point victory over No. 19 Princeton, 10-8.

No. 19 women’s water polo clinched its second-ever shutout in varsity history this weekend in Pennsylvania, coupled with an impressive overtime victory and a challenging shallow-deep win that tallied another three victories for the Crimson.

Consecutive weekends of back-to-back wins bumped Harvard field hockey to No. 12 in the country. Exciting victories over Columbia and Bucknell, and then against the University of Pennsylvania and University of New Hampshire the following weekend brought the team’s overall win-loss tally to 9-1, marking an incredible start to the season.
